Vulcan-Hart Guide

Two separate companies formed to create what is known today as Vulcan-Hart. In 1865, a foundry company in Louisville, Kentucky began manufacturing cooking stoves and an assortment of other products. This operation later became part of the Hart Manufacturing Company. In 1890, the Vulcan Gas Heating Company was formed. Both companies grew through acquisitions and mergers of other companies until 1949, when the Hart Manufacturing Company acquired the Vulcan company creating the world's largest single brand manufacurer of commercial cooking equipment.
