Paul Delorenzo and Thomas Springfield founded Delfield in 1949. The manufacturer’s name was made up of a combination of Del in Delorenzo and field in Springfield. They operated in a small building on the east side of Detroit. In 1969, they opened a second manufacturing plant. Shortly thereafter, the company was acquired by Clark Equipment. Over the years, Delfield was aquired by different entities until 1999, when they became a part of the Welbilt Group Companies. Today, Delfield is a $100 million manufacturer of custom stainless steel refrigeration equipment.
Delfield produces products for quick serve restaurants, fine and casual dining, schools, lodging and health care industries like the Tray and rack dispensers, useful in any industry. Delfield’s Cantilevered Tray and Rack Dispenser is made with 14 gauge stainless steel, a 16 gauge dispenser platform carrier mounted on adjustable stainless steel cantilever arms. The dispenser has four polyolefin swivel caster and non marketing gray bumpers at each corner. Open frame trays and rack dispensers and rack carts can also be purchased.
Delfield manufactures a large array of reach-in refrigeration and freezer products, hot and cold food wells, pizza and sandwich prep tables, utility stands and counters, heated and unheated dish dispensers, hot and cold combo serving counters and milk beverage dispensers.
