| Over 55 years ago, brothers Bill and Argyle Campbell invented the Camtray. Argyle begin selling the trays to the American Hospital Supply Corporation. Not only was it widely accepted by the hospital supply industry, it also suited the needs of restaurants, hotels, schools and cafeterias. |

During the 1960's, Cambro created the first plastic food pan and clear food storage container. It also released and marketed other unique products including plate covers, drink, dinnerware, and bowls. |

By the 1970's, Cambro invented insulated food and beverage containers from plastic molding and foam insulation that was ideal for transporting foods for the catering industry.
Cambro started exporting their product to international markets in the 80's. In 1997, Cambro acquired Presswerk Kongen and Ozay Manufacturing in 2004. The acquistion of the companies allowed Cambro to expand beyond their borders to manufacture, market and sell their products around the world.
Today, Cambro continues to manufacturer trays in various sizes, colors and materials. Their latest expansion in storage containers include the FlipLid, GripLid and SlidingLid. They've also expanded their line of products in insulated food and beverage containers with the CamKiosk, Cambars, Salad Bars, Ice Caddies and many others. Other product outside of their initial realm include the Camrack Warewashing System, Camshelving and the thermoelectric Camtherm Cabinet. With insurmounteble growth that has occurred over the last half century, Cambro continues to be committed to creating durable quality products for the foodservice industry.
