Gold Medal Reddy Apple Mix This candy apple mix has the sugar already mixed, just add water and its ready to use! If you prefer to add your own sugar to save some money buy our Appl-Ez mixes. Portion pak, 6 bags per case. Sized for the GMP-4008 Reddy Apple Cooker. For a GMP-4016 Double Batch, use two pouches. Add 6 to 8 oz. of water to a pouch of mix in the GMP-4008. For the double batch, add as little additional water as you need to completely dissolve the powder. After all, you need to boil off the water before the mixture starts turning into a red candy. Always use a thermometer (GMP-4300) in the Reddy Apple Cooker and be sure to stir the hottest solution off the bottom of the cooking kettle. It takes about 20 to 22 minutes to get the temperature up to 280º to 290º – an ideal candy crack. Parve - Kasruth Certificate available upon request.
