Cadco double burner BRC-D1 (5/6/2006 10:42:00 PM) Reviewer: I bought 5 of these to start a small crepe making business but only ended up keeping one unit only. The other four I had to return because of revised thermostats settings that is not suitable for my usage. The burner would heat up glowing hot regardless, even thou the product advertises that it has infinite heat setting. Then it would shut off completely. The glowing hot and shutting off cycle repeats. Image cooking crepe this way. The crepe gets burned each time the hot glowing cycle comes. I would have expected the heating element to maintain a certain heating temperature depending on the setting I but that is not the case. I was able to keep just one unit because that one happens to be an older model one, and the heat setting is much more consistent. If set at medium, heating would maintain at that setting, thus the crepes could be cooked properly. Quite disappointed due to the fact that the unit is not cheap and I think Cadco chose the wrong type of thermostat to use in the newer model.
