In 1955, then Continental Plastics produced the first plastic Bains Marie, which modified the way the industry handled food and storage. A few years later, they created the first commercial grade plastic Beverage Pitcher, more commonly referred to as a Beer Pitcher. After decades of mergers, acquisitions and many industry firsts, Continental Plastics changed their name to Carlisle FoodService Products in 1996. Today, Carlisle manufacturers an entire line of restaurant and janitorial supplies for every size and type of eating establishment.
