In 1918, Franklin Machine Products (FMP) was originally known for their manufacturing of specialty components for commercial coffer urns. Over time, they developed specialty plumbing fittings for the foodservice industry. With the repeal of prohibition in the 1930s, the FMP beer faucet became an instant hit. During the World War II era, FMP concentrated on the manufacturing of government contracts for aircrafts. The 50 and 60s began the move to plumbing items, which contributed to the industrys first wholesale vendor to the foodservice industry.
