If you cannot go with a power filter, you can still gain the benefits of oil filtering. Drain warm oil into filter cone and when filtered, back into the fryer. Be careful of hot oil! Take care of your oil – it pays!
A busy Corn Dog joint or Funnel Cake operation will get much longer "pot life" when a power filter is implemented. If you don't have a power filter, then be sure to use the manual filter cone as you drain the cooking oil from your Gold Medal fryer. Be very careful. Cooking oil gets up over 375 degrees and takes a long time to cool down.
