In 1918, Franklin Machine Products (FMP) was originally known for their development of specialty components for commercial coffer urns. Over time, they developed specialty plumbing fittings for the foodservice industry. With the repeal of prohibition in the 1930s, the FMP beer faucet became an instant hit. During the World War II era, FMP concentrated on the development of government contracts for aircrafts. The 50 and 60s began the move to plumbing items, which contributed to the industrys first wholesale manufacturer to the foodservice industry.
