Bruce Brown has led Instawares since August of 2007. Prior to taking on the role, he worked for twenty-nine years in telecom and information technology. Recently retired after five years as the CIO at T-Mobile USA in Seattle, he began his career at Southern Bell in Atlanta. After working in multiple departments and managing teams in Operator Services, Billing and Collection and Telephone Fraud Management, he moved into the cellular side of the business supporting systems for BellSouth Cellular, one of the predecessors of today's AT&T. Next, Bruce spent four years helping BellSouth build new cellular businesses in New Zealand, Germany, Israel and Argentina.
After eighteen years with BellSouth, Bruce left the company to help move LHS, a billing system software company, from Germany to the U.S taking it public. The company was ultimately sold to Schlumberger. In 1998, he became the head of I.T. for Powertel, a start-up wireless telephone company serving the Southeast. In May of 2001, the company was acquired by Deutsche Telekom AG to form T-Mobile in the US.
Bruce and his family returned to the metropolitan Atlanta area in February of 2007.
