In 1955, then Continental Plastics created the first plastic Bains Marie, which modified the way the industry handled food and storage. A few years later, they created the first commercial grade plastic Beverage Pitcher, more commonly referred to as a Beer Pitcher. After decades of mergers, acquisitions and many industry firsts, Continental Plastics changed their name to Carlisle FoodService Products in 1996.
