Red Robin Going For A Bison Burger?

Red Robin: The secret identity of Tim Drake, Batman’s former protege has gone from being the Boy Wonder to the Dark Knight, and has struck out on his own, flying high as the leader of the Teen Titans.

Or it’s a burger chain offering up premium burgers later this year, Nation’s Restaurant News reports.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers has had success with their Tavern Double Burger, priced at $6.99. Looking to follow the plan for new burgers, Red Robin is looking at both Kobe beef and bison burgers. These premium burgers, priced around $13.99 and $14.99 according to speculation, would accompany a change in their strategy.

Red Robin is looking to diversify its demographic, adding focus on bar atmosphere for men, but not eschewing the family-friendly demographic. They’re still looking at what’s desired in a premium burger, but have all their recipes and plans ready: they just need to get the go-ahead.

The change everyone will notice? They want to swap from baskets to plates for the burgers, to improve their perceived value.

Don’t worry; the Bottomless Steak Fries will still be available in baskets.

Taking a look at their current menu, they do offer a few unique dishes on their menu. The Chili Chili Cheeseburger pairs well with an Irish Beer Shake and Warm Pretzel Bites. In this season, some will find comfort in their Clamstrips and Arctic Cod Fish & Chips.
