Bon Chef's Sandstone collection looks like fine china, but is durable, unbreakable and maintains consistent food temperatures.  Sandstone is a special glaze fired on to an unbreakable aluminum body and it cannot be used in steam tables. The sandstone applied to these casserole dishes are specifically for cold serve foods. They can withstand temperatures all the way from -20°F to a maximum of 185° F.
